Bohemian Wedding: Layered with Texture, Floral and Plenty of Free-spirited Prettiness!

What happens when you combine colorful personalities and an amazing couple? You get a creative and fabulous wedding that will be one to remember in our books!

This couple came in to meet with us back in February. They came into Virginia Beach for the weekend to do some wedding appointments with their wonderful coordinator Malissa Murphy of CMT Event Planning. Madelyn and her father came in all the way from Texas, they were wonderful to meet with! Madelyn had her dream design all set in her head. It was so much fun showing them pictures and pulling lots of fun décor items. From the moment we met with them we knew their wedding was going to be a Bohemian dream at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

On July 25th,2015 we showed up to the MOCA excited to see this design come to life. Malissa Murphy is so much fun to work with, we were in for a treat! The lighting at this event included uplighting around the MOCA, that set the mood throughout the night. She stuck with lots of jeweled tones, dark blues, dark purples.

A first dance floor wash highlighted all of the special events, dances and toasts that happened on the dance floor. Including the cutest dance with their beach attire on!

We pinspotted all of their AMAZING & colorful ceneterpieces by Pallette of Petals that went perfectly with the hippie theme! We wanted to really make the floral pop on each table and you cannot forget pinspotting their adorable Woodstock esque cake, s’mores station and sweetheart table.

One fun thing that made a huge difference in the reception room was the washing of game stations, which kept the games going all night long! The giant handmade scrabble and checkers all spot lit added the perfect touch to this exciting night.

The lounge area was adorned with our water lights and tree patterns projected on to their canopy to add an outdoor look to the space! This was a creative way to give the tented lounge a natural feel throughout the night with lighting!

Madelyn wanted to add something to wow her guests as they walked into the room! We came up with the design of projecting bohemian, paisley patterns on the ceiling in multiple colors and having that same pattern projected around their custom monogram! The final look with all of the lighting, games and floral in the room absolutely stunned, we did in fact accomplished that “wow factor”!
